For more than 22 years, a group of families from the South London community have been organising an annual family camp each year towards the end of July. The culture that has evolved over the years has meant that the camp has become an annual fixture for many extended families with children young and old, some even deciding to bring grandparents. They have just come to really appreciate the opportunity to spend time together in a way that is quite unique compared to many of the other programs that people get to experience in our movement. People have brought families who they are friends with who are not orthodox Unificationists, who have simply helped to enrich the atmosphere. The geographical net has now been cast wide with people travelling sometimes even from mainland Europe to join the experience. At the last camp in July 2021, some of us felt inspired to organise an additional family camp over the Easter holidays.
We sent out a diary note and video back in the autumn to many of the regulars and are now asking people to confirm if they plan to join the Easter Family Camp 2022. We have designed it to run over the bank holidays to make it easier in terms of getting time off work.
Arrival – Thursday (afternoon /evening) 14th April
Departure – Monday (after lunch) 18th April
We expect to have space for about 100-110 people in total. There is currently space remaining for about 30 people. Please fill out the online registration form with all your family details so that we can prepare for the range of ages and families who will be joining us. Space indoors is limited, so we cannot promise everyone will get a choice between camping in a tent and indoor accommodation. We will be prioritising mums with small children who are two and under, and those who are elderly or have other reasons why they can’t sleep in a tent. On the form, if you need to add more details about accommodation, please just write something under ‘Other’.
Feel free to get back to us if you have any questions, but otherwise if you want to book your place, take a minute to register and we look forward to seeing you for the long Easter weekend in Cleeve House.
