Interfaith Prayer for Peace in the Ukraine

Wednesday 2nd March at 7pm GMT

Thank you everyone for your prayers, support and activism for a peaceful resolution to the crisis in the Ukraine. As we go to press, more and more troops are moving in on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, and the second city of of Kharkiv has come under relentless missile attack. It is indeed the time of maximum danger.

We will continue to have special online prayer vigils every other day for the crisis. Tomorrow – Ash Wednesday – 2nd March at 7pm GMT, we will be joined by interfaith leaders who have recently supported True Parents’ work through the Rally of Hope and the Special Prayer Meetings. Also, FFWPU members from other continents and regions have indicated that they are planning to attend. Pope Francis has invited everyone to make this a Day of Fasting and Prayer for Peace.

Our simple program, jointly held by FFWPU and UPF, will include prayers interspersed with readings from holy books, along with moments for personal prayer and reflection. The program will conclude after 50 minutes.

The next prayer meeting after that will be on Friday 4th March at 8pm GMT and will be streamed live from our upcoming European Leader’s Meeting in Frankfurt, Germany.

For those who wish to donate to support our families in the Ukraine and beyond who are directly impacted by this crisis, the best way is through PayPal to donate@ffwpu-eu.org. Please be sure to put UKRAINE in the message text area.
