FOMO
noun      informal

 /ˈfəʊ.məʊ/

:fear of missing out:

Fear of not being included in something (such as an interesting of enjoyable activity) that others are experiencing.

Have you ever experienced the above? Perhaps it was that time an important 40-day prayer condition started, but you only found out about it 4 days into the devotional period. Or you missed the last-minute time change for the big online event, so you logged in an hour late and missed the speeches and entertainment. Or you didn’t find out about the summer workshops until after you had booked your family holidays, so your children couldn’t attend.

In HQ, our Communications team has been working very hard to improve the method of delivery of important news and announcements. Comms has created 2 brand new websites – one for the public and one for our community – and consistently posts updates to FFWPU UK’s Facebook page. Comms has also been utilising Breeze, an elegant church management system used by Churches around the world to maintain the data. Above all, Comms has complying with GDPR to ensure that data is managed securely and respectfully.

A key challenge for the Comms team is having access to accurate and up-to-date information for all the members of our British community. The good news is that there is something you can do about it:

Please visit this form to update your profile. You’ll be asked to provide details about yourself, all of which will be helpful not only for our Comms team but also for our pastoral teams and departments, to make sure you get provided information about relevant programmes and events.

You will also be asked to give your consent for FFWPU to communicate with you in the ways that you choose. If you only want emails and no phone calls, that’s fine – you only need to tick the email box. But if you never want to miss out, tick all the boxes to get emails, phone calls, text messages, letters in the post and even messages via social media.

You’ll never miss out on important news ever again!

IMPORTANT: When filling out the form, please note that your date of birth and Blessing date must be entered in the following format: DD-MM-YYY (e.g. 19-05-2021)
