WFWP: Artists for Peace – The Environment and Our Future

The Women’s Federation for World Peace is running a second art contest for children throughout the United Kingdom entitled ‘The Environment and Our Future’ commemorating the International Day of Women, which took place on 8 March; entries are open until 31 August 2022.

According to the organisers, the aim is to promote the use of art as a medium for self-expression and self-healing and to encourage children to reflect on the difficulties facing the world and their families and friends today due to the climate change and environmental pollution, and to seek positive, sustainable solutions through using their creativity.

With three age categories ranging from 5 to 16 years, any art medium except digital is acceptable and there will be three prizes per age group: £100 for 1st prize, £70 for 2nd prize and £40 for 3rd prize.

On 24th September 2022, the online award ceremony will take place where the results will be announced, and the awards presented.
